Contributing Writer’s Guidelines
Extreme Woman welcomes contributions. When submitting items, please bear in mind the following guidelines:
Acceptance of all items is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief and there will be no guarantee that editorial material submitted will appear in the magazine or in any particular issue of the magazine.
• All submissions are to be received in electronic format. Please email submission in Word Document attachment.
• Articles need to be typed in Arial Font (12 pt), double spaced after each paragraph with no indentations. One space after each sentence, not two, please.
• Editing will be done by the format of the AP Style Book.
• Please write the name of the department/column at the top left-hand corner (if known). Underneath, your name, articles word count, and what month you’re writing for. Example:
o Pearls of Wisdom
o Rochelle Valasek
o Approx. 800 wds.
o October PDF
• Article title centered with at least 4 spaces between the start of the article.
• We would like to see no more than 2-3 scriptures in your article. All scriptures should be taken from the New King James or King James Version. If there is a need to use another version, please state the version appropriately.
• When including scripture, it should look like this:
“For God so loved the world that He gave his only son” (John 3:16).
• Any time you refer to the Bible or any religious writings, you capitalize them.
All names pertaining to God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit need to be capitalized.
• Save your article as a file like this:

*If you do not write for a specific column or department, put your article title in the filename.
• When possible, it is appreciated if the articles are accompanied by a photograph of the author and any other illustrations appropriate to their topic (we can arrange for photographs when required), plus a 100-word bio information of the author. Please note: if photos/illustrations are E-Mailed, they should be 300 dpi jpg. Items sent by post will only be returned if they have labels on the reverse side with the name and address of the person supplying them, with a self-addressed envelope.
• Any materials submitted are entirely at the owner’s risk.
• His Daughters Media will retain copyright of all items submitted. Authors may re-use their own material, which has been published by His Daughters Media on condition that, if it is republished, it is accompanied by the words: ‘First Published in Extreme Woman magazine’.
• Articles should be a maximum length of 1,000
o Feature articles max: 1,200
o Reg. Online Articles 300-1,000
o PDF Articles 600-1,500
o Fillers & Sidebars: 125 – 250 words.
• Any items accepted for publication may, at the discretion of the Editor, be:
o Placed in any issue of the publication
o Placed on the web or otherwise distributed electronically to subscribers
• There must be no pre-existing copyright restrictions on work submitted and acceptance is based on this premise.
• Sources/references should be quoted wherever possible.
• While every care is taken to ensure the accuracy of information published, the Editor-in-Chief, Publishers of Extreme Woman, and other Editors can accept no responsibility for loss or damage, or consequences thereof, caused by error or advertising material.

• No material from Extreme Woman may be produced in part, or in whole, without written permission of the Editor-in-Chief.

*At this time, Extreme Woman does not compensate monetarily for published manuscripts. However, we do give byline, a 100-word bio and a copy of the issue in which you have been published.
