The Reflecting Well
God Is Mighty

The sky is bold, sounding its attention that God is near. Listen as the rain drops fall upon the ground. Watch as the sky roars and God’s voice is heard. Can you hear Him now?

“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders.”
(Job 37:14, NIV)

Have you stopped to look at the wonders that God has created for you? Think of the heavens. Look at the clouds in the sky. There are so many things that God, with His own two hands, has made for you and me to enjoy. God knows our heart and He k

Sarah Did It, So Can You

"Then he said unto them “Go your way, eat the fat and drink the sweet and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength." (Nehemiah 8:10)

Today’s women face a lot of challenges, especially to their faith. We often don’t know where to turn in times of need; becoming dissatisfied with the progress or lack of it and take a situation into our own hands. We become discouraged and turn to thi

God's Tender Morsels
Strong Women

Why is it that so many people are threatened by strong women? A strong man is an asset but a woman can be seen as overstepping herself if she steps up with the same characteristics of a strong man.

Let me set the record straight. In Nehemiah 8:10, God told all of Israel to enjoy themselves because the joy of the Lord was their strength. That includes women too.

So, take a trip with me. What does it mean to be strong? It is more than physical strength, I think everyone would agree. A kind of streng

The Bridge of Life
Living Well

It is not a sin to be rich or pretty and live for God. Let me say that again. It is not a sin to be rich or pretty and LIVE for God. I have seen too many Christians who think that if they wanted to please God they has to swear off everything that the world values.

God wants us to live well. But, do we know what that really means? God has stated in His word that He looks at the heart of a man. We all can put on a face for others that hide the pain, guilt and embarrassing things in our lives that

Embracing the Secret to Spiritual Strength

In the life of most extreme Christian women we have our ups and downs. They could be compared to a rollercoaster. You begin strapped in as the rollercoaster starts a slow moving ride to the top while the creaking chains pull you to your destination. The anticipation grows faster as it seems you’re uphill climb grows slower. You know the joy you will feel when you reach the top. Finally the car you ride in rises to the highest point on the track. Joy, the greatest emotion, has arrived. For a br

To Be a Pastor's Wife

We admit there are great Christian Pastors in this life
And behind most of them is a hardworking wife
In making the Church a more spiritual place
It takes both the Pastor and his wife’s smiling face

The world should respect the woman that she must be
Being spiritual and strong-willed for all people to see
As the Pastor is taking care of feeding his flock
His wife is taking care of the family and darning socks

She prays for the family and encourages her spouse
All the while taking care of kids and keepi

Shabbat-Sabbath Observance

"Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.  And on the seventh day God ended His work, which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work, which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work, which God had created and made." (Genesis 2:1-3)

If you notice when reading Genesis, it is the very first mention of Shabbat (the Hebrew word for rest), and nothing is said about how to observe it.

Tsofi-All Things Jewish Part 2
Day of Rest-Shabbat

The week is coming to a close. You’ve worked long and hard and there is still much to do. The stress of life eats away at you like moth larvae eating holes in your good wool coat. Oh, you are thankful for having work, for it pays the bills, albeit, barely. But you just need a break…something to take your mind off the daily cares of life. You, my friend, need a day of Shabbat!

Shabbat (Sabbath) is the Hebrew word for rest. It all began “in the beginning” when God created the heavens and th
